Cornelius looks like a barge, inside and out. This is a Sipma Brothers conversion of a 1910 hull. The new superstructure follows the lines of the hull. More aesthetically pleasing than the flat-tops. Inside the decor is designed to remind you that this is a barge, not an apartment, nor a teak-lined gentleman's yacht. It is bright - helped by having good windows you can look though. Portholes look boat-like from the outside, but are pretty useless to look through from the inside.
The current owner did/oversaw, the fitting out. Key elements:
1. Aft deck with canopy. France is very hot in the summer.
2. Wheelhouse/Salon. You can all cruise along together - this is not the sentry box you get on some barges!
3. Two cabins, both ensuite, with normal sized toilets and showers , separated from each other, and soundproofed.
4. Full sized domestic appliances, all 240v, all famous brands. Four ring plate, oven, micro-wave, fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble drier,

6. Pressurised water system, hot water calorifier with heat sources from central heating, engine and electric.
7. Kabola central heating - radiators not hung conspicuously on walls, but all hidden behind doors with grills.
9. Airconditioning - separate units in cabins and wheelhouse.
10. All plumbing joints accessible. All electrics run through colour coded conduit.
12. Masses of hanging space and cupboards/drawers, plus storage under beds, and under stairs.
13. Walk around beds for easy making.
14. Telephone point for landline, satellite dish and decoder, top of the range DVD player, radio/CD player with speakers in salon, kitchen, and (soon) aft deck.
15. The car - not carried on board - is a 1994 Land Rover Discovery, in good condition
