Hunter’s Moon is a wide beam canal boat, an ideal live aboard for 2 -4 persons, professionally fitted out in 2006 by Howes Boats Ltd on a G J Reeves hull. Tiller steered she is responsive and equally suited to canals or rivers. Currently moored in Newark on Trent she is available for inspection at any reasonable time. After a professional valuation in Spring 09 the boat was for sale previously at £97,500, I have decided to drop the price to £82,000 in order to sell quickly. Beta Marine 75 hp - soundproofed. Serviced in Aug 08. This is the best type of engine for a widebeam boat - the Engineer who carried out the service in Aug 08 commented that it was in very good condition.

During blacking, the two annodes to the stern and the two to the bow were found still to be sound, so they were retained. Four new ones placed in the middle section (see pics).

The cruiser stern is protected by a pram-hood style awning with skirt and protective steel railings with gate (an extra safety feature for children or dogs). This semi-circular area, approx 11' 5" x 7' 6" gives a good space for dining, relaxing in the sun and seating guests when cruising.

Entry to the fully equipped galley is from the rear deck - at approx 8ft x 7'6", there is a gas oven, 4 burner hob, grill, stainless steel sink and drainer, 24v / 240v fridge with freezer box. There is lots of worktop space and a good range of solid pine cupboards give ample storage.

The rear bedroom (approx 7' 6" wide x 6ft long) has wardrobes and storage cupboards to the full width of the front bulkhead. There is ample room for bunk beds or a single bed or desk and office equipment.

The main bedroom (approx 7' 6" wide x 9' 9" long) has a full size 4' 6" island double bed. There is a dressing table feature within a full range of wardrobes. Extra storage space is above the bed, together with a bookshelf.

The bathroom in the middle section of the boat has a corner bath, full size shower, vanity unit, macerator pump-out toilet and heated towel rail.

The large bright and airy living room (approx 12' long and 10' wide) has free standing furniture, a sofa with drawers beneath, a chest of drawers and a TV table. The solid fuel stove sits to one side of the room. French style doors open out onto the front deck which is protected by a steel-framed cratch covered by black canvas. This was customised and fitted in 2007 along with the rear awning and is of very good quality and fit.

Light oak coloured floor tiles and neutral colours throughout give this boat a light, bright feel in summer. There is approximately 6’ 7” of headroom throughout. Hunter's Moon benefits from central heating from a Webasto diesel system feeding five radiators and a towel rail. The solid fuel stove makes the living room very cosy in winter.

One owner from new - the boat was blacked professionally in Aug 08 and new anodes fitted, the engine was serviced at the same time. She has completed only 235 cruising hours since new, she handles very well and is economical to run. The outer paintwork is good and the interior is in very good condition as due to work commitments I have lived aboard only two or three days a week.

The current RCD expires in March 2010 and I would pay for a new certificate on completion of sale.
