| Description |
| |
Perfect to live aboard all year round or for holiday cruising, Hackspett has been thoughtfully laid out with an open plan saloon and kitchen, two cabins, shower room and toilet, separate toilet and utility/washroom. The main engine room is accessible from both inside and from the wheelhouse. There are two sundecks, one fore and the other aft the wheelhouse for the sun lover or for those wishing to follow the shade. Great areas to relax in or entertain your friends. Complete with solar panels and generator Hackspett can be enjoyed away from mains power for the ultimate away from it all holiday. A Ballegooy 360 degree bow-thruster with it’s own instant start diesel engine makes for easy manoeuvring, and the dinghy with sails and silent electric outboard motor allows for exploration of those small hidden waterways. A shallow draft of 0.95m allows Hackspett to visit many areas off limits to deeper drafted vessels such as the Nivernais.
Slipped and surveyed in May 2011 by Ian Burgoyne, and holds a TRIWV European Community Certificate for zones 2,3 and 4 including the Rhine Waal and Lek.
Can be helmed with the RYA ICC, now obtainable by most nationals beyond Britain.
In France able to use red diesel for propulsion (Gazole non routier) at around 25% cheaper than white.
