1933 Leeds Liverpool Short Boat, built by Yarwoods of Northwich. Now retired Passenger Boat 2008, excellent for live aboard conversion or use as 12 seater resteraunt boat.
Existing working engine Gardner 2LW electric start replaced Widdup in 1941, in excellent condition fully serviced with Gardner 2UC reversing box and 2to1 reduction box. Propshaft (SS), stern bearing and propellor replaced new from Crowther Marine in 2005, New 12kva Northern Lights Generator installed 2004 (2800hrs). Layout Galley with LPG, 2 toilets (120 gallon holding tank), washroom, main saloon, bar. Central heating of engine, 250 gallon Stainless steel water tank, calorifier, hot and cold running water, 240v ac and 12v dc electrics, panoramic windows in double glazed 6mm toughened glass.

| Marinas & Moorings: For Sale: Mooring Whiterock SLYC Strangford Lough |

I have for sale a swing mooring in a prime location at Strangford Lough Yacht Club, Whiterock, Strangford Lough. The mooring is lying approximately 30 yards off the pontoon at Strangford Lough Yacht Club SLYC. Moorings like this in this location are very hard to get as they are so close to the Yacht Club so would therefore be perfect for a member of SLYC, however there is a public slipway in the close vacinity which is free to use if you did not want to use the club. It was used for my boat but I no longer need it as I have moved to another Club. The boat I had on the mooring was a 23ft Motor Sailer at approx 2.5 - 3 tons with a draft of 1.5m approx, although at low tide there would be at least 2-4m depth. I have marked the picture to try to let you get an idea of where the mooring is in relation to the SLYC (RHS of pic) and the public slip (LHS of pic). The mooring was checked a few years ago and I checked the chain again recently and can only say that all looks good. I would recommend a new Stuoy and hand buoy just for peace of mind apart from that it would be good to go. I have listed it at £750 but I would be open to reasonable offers. General description
Front deck with large area for seats and gas locker.
Entrance to barge through double glazed double doors with four latch dead lock.
Front sun lounge containing full size settee-bed. Open storage unit above bed, with full under bed storage area. Pot belly stove and 1 radiator.
Hall way, with bathroom on left, containing 1200 x 800 shower with full height sliding door, power shower with body jets; basin and toilet set in a unit containing cupboards under the basin; full height corner mirrored corner wall cabinet; radiator and extractor.
Hall way with side storage for books or coats. Main bedroom on left with bed, under bed storage, hanging space and radiator
Hall way leading to kitchen, lounge and dining area. Kitchen area contains good cupboard space and three drawer set, fridge, grill, separate oven and four ring hob, stainless steel sink and drainer, tiled working surfaces and splash backs. Also, a multi fuel two hob oven stove. The main area houses a three-seat and two-seat leather suit. The rear area houses a large wrought iron glass-topped table and four dining chairs. There are two side doors at window height and one radiator.
The rear door leads to another storage area. The engine, hot water tank and battery bank are under the floor, with good access. Above deck, the WEBASTO central heating system is on the left, and the 3KW inverter with 240 volt fuse box is on the right; this also includes fuse box for 12 volt system, plus outside power hook-up. There is also a Whirlpool washing machine, fitted to the hot water supply, and cupboard areas.
The craft has just had a complete re-fit, including new radiators and pipe work; new floors in laminated Aqu-block throughout, and on the walls in some areas; complete new bathroom and kitchen. This barge is owned privately by Richard and Heather of Figurehead Barges and has just been repainted in dry dock - May 2009.
This is definitely the one you don’t want to miss: some barges are just that bit special.
The craft is moored on the Leeds Liverpool Canal at Adlington, close to good road and rail access for easy commuting. There is also easy access for ‘lift out’ if you want to relocate or move.
