Description

Jaynor Was built in the Bangor ship yard and launched in1967. She was designed to compete in the Admirals Cup. Built of double planked carvel from Afzelia. All frames and stem are laminated. Lead keel with bronze keel bolts , Bronze floors , keel step. Teak decks and cabin top on marine ply. Built to Lloyd’s 100 A1. In 1969 she represented Ireland in the Admirals cup which included competing in the Fast Net race of that year . Jaynor was one of the last boats built by Arthur Robb. As Jaynor rounded the Fast net rock Robb’s ashes were scattered from her stern . As his ashes were being scattered there was a wind shift and his ashes were blown back on board.

Owned by myself for 14 years Jaynor has had a complete refit.

The hull and deck were in perfect condition requiring no work. No rot or soft wood could be found. Fastenings drawn and found to be in good condition.


Cockpit removed to allow new 50 gallon stainless fuel tank. Cockpit rebuilt keeping existing teak , ply panels replaced with Robbins teak faced marine ply

Main hatch replaced, forehatch rebuilt.

Beam that takes main sheet replaced with Iroko.

New main , Yankee and staysail. 2 main sails. 2020. Spinnaker , storm jib, trisail. Many other older hanked on sails.

Roller reefing on both fotestays.

Anchor chain and anchors hot dipped galvanized. 60m 10mm chain , 50m of multiplait rope. Windlass hydraulic with new 12v power pack.

4 dorado vents with blanking plates for heavy weather.

All ironmogery re chromed.

All ports removed and refurbished with laminated glass , seals ect.

8 berths in 2 cabins. V berth forward . Extending seat with infil , double . Two single berths opposite. Two berths in doghouse.

Interior total refurbish. Varnish stripped , damaged ply panels replaced.

New heads and cabinet with ceramic bowl .

Holding tank with new macerated pump 2026. Deck pump out and pump out to sea. Holding tank level gauge.

New upholstery.

Large stainless fridge under rebuilt chart table .Isotherm compressor.

Eber hot air heating.

Axium 9 potter , 2021 . iPad in waterproof case as repeater with brackets to mount at helm .

AIS class b from Matusec plotter

VHF radio and hand held. New Ariel and splitter. 2022

New battery banks , domestic 4 110AH ,2023. Starting battery 2020.

New gas insulation . 10 mm insulated pipe from locker, solenoid valve on bottle and bubble tester . Solenoid switch in galley

Dominic 3 burner with oven

Engine beta 50 hp. 2008 . Removed stripped , new rings new final seal on gearbox. .

Refitted . New exhaust hoses. Flex engine mounts , new prop shaft with bronze bearings and couplings. Flex o fold prop 2023. Head removed 2023 , skimmed , new valve seats , valves and seals. New injectors. Compression in all cylinders above factory spec. New water circulation pump, new 100A alternator , new starter. Rebuilt seawater pump.

4 beilge pumps 2 Manuel 2 electric . Auto pump with cycle counter.

50 gals water in 2 copper tanks, removed and cleaned 2022. New pipe work, filter under sink , hot water via engine and shore power . New tank senders 2026. New accumulator . Pump replaced 2026.

All LED bulbs nav and domestic.

Hand bearing compass, clock .and 2 barometers.
