Martine is a 40m Belgian Spitz motor river barge, built in 1956. Constructed of rivetted and welded steel, hull, decks, crew accommodation aft, the wheel house alone is constructed of wood and glass. She was bought straight from trade.
The huge hold area has a headroom of over 2m. It is covered with removed able aluminium hatch covers. The hold is currently being used as a wood store, partial filled with ton bags of ballast too.
She has been sitting on the present mooring for approx 9yrs. She was motored to Essex under her own power.
Accommodation, offered at present is a Timonerie style of cabin arrangement, it has two cabins with small double berths both leading off a saloon / diner. The galley, is separate on the left of the steps down from the wheelhouse (collapsible).
Engine room is accessed from the side decks. As are the "Heads".
There is another cabin in the forepeak with two coffin berths. . A separate hatch and access into the front of the hold is a utility room with washing machine tumble drier , hanging space and a freezer.
