PRICE REDUCED .55 ft x 10.6 ft Branson Dutch Barge for sale on mooring until spring, it will then have to be moved. There are moorings close to Lechlade but it would be up to the new owner to organise. The barge is in need of work, it has a new bathroom and shower and most of the kitchen is new as well as the cooker, sink, water pump. There is 1 year old 12 volt fridge with small freezer compartment. Included is the Indesit washing machine dryer, also about 1 year old. The front part of the barge exterior has recently been painted in grey under coat, the windows has been taken out cleaned off, all the corrosion treated and then replaced. There is a very nice new hard wood roof opening window, double glazed. The second bedroom is in need of complete renovation and the lounge needs to be finished off. The Morso squirrel stove in only one year old and has been professionally fitted,. I have lived on the barge for the last 18 months and the only heating I have needed is the Morso, there is a central heating system fitted but not commissioned. Most of the interior has been recently painted. The boat safety cert ran out in December. The barge has not been moved for about a year when it went down the Thames for a few of weeks last year. The engine will be serviced in the next couple of weeks.; The bow thruster needs repair but this may just be the sheer pin.This mooring is on an island on the river Thames in Lechlade, easy driving to Swindon, it's very secure and has parking, electric hook up and water. An inexpensive way of living as it's very cheap to heat, water is free and the electric a usual rates. Would benefit from having solar panels, the wiring is already done for this. The barge does not have a BSS or survey, the only way to have it surveyed is for it to go to Reading and be lifted out, there isn't a marina closer that can do it and at present the locks are closed for winter work.
