Description

At 50ft, My Girl is a compact and fuss-free boat, ideal as a ‘go
anywhere’ boat, or as an ample sized retreat on the canals for three
people. There is no hiding the fact that My Girl would benefit from some
attention to the exterior paintwork, her interior however is in great
condition. The professional fit out by Calcutt Boats is in oak and follows
the popular REVERSE layout style. To make the most of the available
space, the aft galley is combined with a small two seater dinette that
converts easily into a single berth. The cosy saloon is complemented
by two freestanding swivel and reclining chairs. The off-corridor
bathroom includes a shower over the bath, a washbasin and a cassette
wc. The bedroom at the fore offers plenty of cupboard space. Hot
water heated by engine and immersion when connected to shore
power, with battery charging from a Sterling 30A charger. A Ring 2kW
modified sine wave inverter provides 230V power when cruising. A
160W solar array trickle charges the batteries. Propulsion is by a trusty
BMC 1.8 diesel engine and PRM hydraulic box.
