Happy Daze is the ‘weekender’ version of Character Boats Coastal Whammel with two comfortable sleeping birth places, additional storage and spray hood. Ideal for day sailing or overnights on lakes, rivers and inshore coastal adventures. She is CE plated designed to category C, is in excellent condition throughout and ready to sail. Complete with braked road trailer (brakes removed) and excellent Mariner 3.5hp 4 stroke outboard. She is very easy to sail, launch, recover and very stable offering a nice dry sail with the confidence of full built in buoyancy and an integral ballast keel. Great family fun days on the water.

Construction

GRP craft mouldings in hand laid fibreglass, integral ballast cast in keel and full buoyancy. Foredeck, stern and side decks with coming around the cockpit. Engine well within cockpit where safe to operate it. Large centre and foredeck lockers and cushions extending under the foredeck for camping afloat. The boat has anti fouling (but has always been stored on land), a bilge pump, a Garmin chart plotter / depth sounder, battery and numerous small storage lockers.

The sails by Jeckal are excellent, as are the wooden mast (new Collars 2023), boom and gaff - all in very good condition. The foresail is a roller reefing spar furling drum type. Standing rigging is stainless steel. The boat cover is useable, functional and does its job but needs some TLC. The galvernised trailer is in good overall condition but the brakes have been removed to prevent corrosion from water ingress. All up towing weight is around 800Kg so easily towed by a family sized car.
