Interlude is a Colvin-designed steel schooner built in the US in 1985, imported to Canada in 2014. She is 50' on deck, 62' with bowsprit. With the square sail on her foremast, Interlude qualifies as a Class A Tall Ship. She is a proven blue-water passagemaker, having covered 10,000+ ocean miles since we began our Caribbean adventures in 2019. Interlude could continue to be used as a private recreational vessel (as we have used her), but she could also be an excellent day-charter or economical sail training vessel. Two berths in forward cabin (Sleeps 2), 2 large berths in aft cabin (sleeps 2-4), berth in salon. Large salon has nav station, separate dining area, storage lockers, and single berth. Galley is forward to starboard. Head with separate full shower to port. Gorgeous mahogany woodwork throughout.

During construction the hull was sandblasted to white metal subsequent to plating, flame sprayed with aluminum on the exterior and multiply coated with Devoe epoxy anticorrosive paint inside and out. All frames, longitudinals and inside corners were covered with epoxy to eliminate moisture pockets. Thereafter and on delivery of the hull/deck to Pensacola, Florida, two additional coats of Devoe epoxy were applied to the hull followed by finish coats on the inside. All bronze fittings are set in neoprene with sleeved bolts and bedded with 5200 sealant. Every hole drilled in the boat was drilled through a paper cup to collect shavings and the hole immediately vaccuumed, acid-treated and primed with Devoe Bar-Rust to eliminate rust specks.

Masts constructed of 8" aluminum tubing, booms and gaff of 6" aluminum tubing. Sail inventory includes fully-battened marconi main with 4 reefs, gaff foresail with 2 reefs, boomed staysail with 1 reef, jib, and squaresail. Fisherman available.
