After five years aboard Shekamoo, we are looking to sell our family boat, in the hopes of moving onto a wider boat so we can have a bit more floor space! We have really loved living on Shekamoo, we have added solar, lithium batteries, a Victron inverter, washing machine, Webasto, built a deck, a dining table and really made it in a fully functioning floating home. She is solid, bright and beautiful! We will be sad to say goodbye.

Number of beds currently: 1 double but two more cabins which can become bedrooms/office/workshop etc, 1 sofa bed in lounge.
Internal cabin height: 6 ft 3.
Layout: Traditional
From stern, you enter to cabin 1 which is currently used for storage. It is big enough for a single or double bed. There is also a washing machine, boiler, batteries, invertor etc. Cabin 2 is also used currently for storage and an area for our son to play in. It used to have a single bed in. Cabin 3 is a fixed double bed with under bed storage, and built in drawers behind bed with a side hatch.
From there you walk through the bathroom which has a Simploo compost toilet, sink, shower and multifuel stove (we moved the stove to this position so that it could heat the entire boat by being in the middle rather than at one end). There is also a very large cupboard to store everything in!
Next to the bathroom is the kitchen with a dinette, oven/grill, 4 ringed hob, 12v fridge (95L) and 12v Shoreline freezer (95L), plenty of storage and a side hatch. Finally, you come to the lounge which has a sofa bed, 12v TV and opens onto the bow which has a table and benches with a cratch cover.
In our opinion she is ready to move on to! The only things the next owner might need to do is: get new curtains/blinds, replace the multifuel stove and replace a little wood on one side hatch frame, and a little wood of one window frame.
We had a full survey when we bought her in 2020 and her hull thickness was 10/6/4. A full copy of the survey is available upon request. Since then we have blacked her twice, most recently in August 2024, where we blacked the hull, had 4 anodes replaced and repainted the entire exterior. Hull was checked and there was no pitting requiring any action.

Heating: Brand new Webasto TTC5.2kW (diesel heater) fitted in April 2025. Connected to radiators in every cabin (super-efficient and warm – quick to heat up) and provides hot water 24/7. 120L calorifier for hot water. Multifuel stove (multifuel stove will potentially need replacing before next winter if it wants to be used).
Isuzu marine 38hp. 4Cyl. Highly reliable. No issues. It’s been serviced regularly. Engine bay is clean and spacious and so is easy to access engine and can be used for extra storage.
