Description

A high quality, well built and capable sailing boat with a decent sailing performance (hull speed 6.56 k). Her twin keels allow her to track better than a normal bilge keeler. She is widely considered to be a stronger build than Moodys and Westerlys and is rated for Offshore Ocean Sailing.

Her Furling Main and Headsail have made Sail Handling and reefing simple and straightforward with just the two of us on board.

The twin keels and 1.25m draught allow her to explore shallow anchorages and drying harbours. Antifouled and with new rigging in April 2026 she is ready to sail.
‘Songbird’ has been in our ownership for 3 years and has been sailed mostly on the Cumbrian Coast and the Solway Firth.
We are reluctantly putting her up for sale because we have too many other commitments and not enough time to spend on her.
She has generous accommodation and headroom for a boat her size with plenty of onboard storage. She comes with lots of spares, tools and equipment too numerous to list

There is a separate Jabasco sea toilet and SS Sink.
