This is a 148’ High Speed Passenger Catamaran Ferry built in the USA in 2000. At the time of delivery, it and its two earlier built sister ships, were the fastest commercial ferries in the world capable of reaching speeds of 52 knots. Passenger capacity is 279. It has a ride control system with trim foils and its propulsion is through water jets for speed, efficiency and shallow draft.

The vessel is powered by two T60 marine turbines (rated at 5567 kW each) manufactured by a Caterpillar company, Solar equipment under quality management systems certified to ISO 9001 standards. At the time of purchasing these units Solar Turbines had produced more than 9,500 marine and industrial gas turbines in the 1000 kW to 11,000 kW range class for customers in 80 countries. Additionally, these 9,500 turbines had logged more than 530 million operating hours with excellent reliability.
