This multi-purpose shallow draft ice class tug, built in 2007, is classified under RINA – C Tug with unrestricted navigation and equipped with AUT-UMS and ICE CLASS IB certifications, making it highly capable in icy environments. The vessel has an overall length of 30.05 meters and a beam of 10 meters, providing a clear deck area of 105 m² for versatile operational needs. With a gross tonnage of 294 and a net tonnage of 88, it maintains a manageable size while offering strong performance.
Powered by two CAT 3512B engines, delivering a combined output of 1,878 kW (2 x 939 kW) through fixed pitch propellers (FPP) in Kort nozzles, the vessel achieves a bollard pull of 30 tons and a speed of 10 knots. The tug also features a 200 kW bow thruster for enhanced maneuverability in close quarters or challenging conditions.
In terms of deck equipment, the tug is outfitted with a 9.25-ton capacity crane with a reach of 12.19 meters, a 50-ton SWL towing winch, and a stern roller rated at 100 tons SWL. Additionally, it carries 700 meters of 38 mm towing wire and 210 meters of 44 mm anchor handling wire, supported by 60-ton towing pins and a 40-ton anchor handling wire stopper.
The vessel’s endurance of 15 days and accommodations, which include single, double, and four-bed cabins, allow for a total of 221 berths, making it suitable for extended missions with a sizable crew. The tug is also equipped with comprehensive A1 + A2 + A3 navigation and communication systems, ensuring reliable operations in remote or challenging areas.
With its multiple CAT generator sets and a firefighting pump engine, this ice-class tug is well-suited for a variety of offshore, coastal, and icebound operations.
