Remarks :
Spyder is a lovely Dehler 38 CWS fractional rigged, fin keeled sloop, built in 1988 designed by Van de Stadt with 8 berths. Well maintained example of this fast cruiser/racer.
This model Dehler 38 CWS appears to have been a limited edition. She is robust with classic lines.
She provides extensive accommodation, with a good sized galley, two heads and a well-placed Nav station.
The mid-engine arrangement makes good use of the space with easy access to the engine bay resulting quite spacious aft cabins. she is available to view on Holy Loch by appointment.
Accommodation :
Headroom of 1.90m, 8 berths, 2 in v-shaped forepeak, 2 in saloon and 2 x double quarter berths.
Both quarter berths have en-suite heads, stowable large sinks with hot and cold running water, and a shower in port side berth. Quarter berths have a seat and hanging wardrobe outboard, with cupboard inboard, storage under berth and overhead lockers. V- berth has very large stowage area underneath, with overhead cupboards above and at bow.
Inventory :
Saloon area has large v-shaped table, with fold over extensions running down both sides. Table can be completely removed for easy access all round to engine. Table can seat 10 with extra seat which fits across forepeak door. Seats on both sides of saloon convert into wide berths. Ample stowage below seats and above in lockers and shelves.
L-shaped galley area has additional work surface which can be folded away whilst at sea. Electric fridge, double sink with hot and cold running water. 3 ring gas cooker with grill and oven (new 2020). Cupboard under sink and ample storage overhead.
4x 12v batteries (replaced 2020) charged by engine, smart charger and Merlin Superwind wind generator. Lewmar Lofrans electric windlass. All lines lead aft into cockpit to Lewmar electric self-tailing winch. All Lewmar winches are self-tailing. Eberspacher cabin heater. Hot water system.
As new mainsail Contender CDX Pro radial cut (2020). Selden twin foil furlex with Owen furling genoa. Full sail wardrobe No.1, No.2, No.3, No.4, storm jib, 2 spinnakers, all in very good condition, Owen Sails cruising chute as new condition with snuffer. Sails all fit onto twin foil system.
