Shewolf was built by the Dell Quay company on the Fairey Huntress hull, made famous by Fairey Marine winning its class in the Cowes Torquay Cowes power boat race. A craft renowned for superior handling characteristics and seakeeping qualities. A 1960s style icon that still stands out alongside a glassfibber modern.
Shewolf is powered by twin Volvo AQ151's petrol engines that have been reconditioned at the start of my ownership in 2020 and which these provide over 200 bhp into the water. The sterndrives were also fully reconditioned by a local specialist in 2023.
Shewolf has been well looked after over the years and is very good condition, the bilges are dry and the paint work recently refreshed by Nick Gates at Emsworth Yacht Harbour. She is largely original (just different engines) and has clearly been cherished by concerned owners over the years.
Shewolf is now up for sale as I am now finding the distance between Hereford and Emsworth 'trying' and Shewolf is not really an inland waterways craft. Please feel free to ring and ask questions. I had always wanted to own a Dell Quay Ranger but now she needs to go another someone who will appreciate her, a proper 60's boating icon.
It would be good to see her sell over this Summer and to facilitate this I would enjoy a p/x for a classic Morgan or Austin 7, which I can keep at home!
