Under current ownership Thirty Something has been cruised extensively along the South Coast and to Brittany, the Channel Islands and Scilly. Sailed round Ireland in 2025.

Three cabin accommodation for six people with two heads.

Generous double vee berth in forepeak, with storage below bunk and seat and also in shelves along both sides above the bunk and in a wardrobe with hanging and shelf space. LED reading lights both sides. 240v power socket. Forehatch has blackout blind and/or insect mesh.

En suite heads to port with Jabsco compact marine heads, basin, hand held shower, mirror, storage cupboard and electric shower drain pump. Heads diverter valve for discharge either into the sea or a gravity drained holding tank.

Saloon features six person dinette to port and sofa to starboard. Bottle storage in table. Storage below, behind and above seats.

Forward facing chart table and seat to starboard with chart plotter, VHF and switch panel.

L shaped galley to port with top loading fridge, two burner and oven camping gaz cooker and twin basin sink.

240v TV/DVD player wall mounted on forward bulkhead with remote control (TV aerial disconnected).

Second heads to starboard opening into saloon. The same as the forward heads but with large Jabsco toilet (2026) and extra space for use as wet locker.

Hot and cold pressurised water via engine calorifier and shore power immersion. Salt water foot pump to galley sink.

Twin after cabins to port and starboard with hanging lockers.

Eberspacher diesel heating throughout.

Blue cotton saloon upholstery and teak/holly wood finish.

330l water capacity in two tanks. Pressurised hot and cold water from calorifier/shore power immersion heater.

Construction

White GRP hull with dark blue trim. Hand laminated hull and injection moulded deck. Teak laid decks, cockpit sole and seats. Iron fin keel. Spade hung rudder with large single wheel.

Self draining cockpit. Helmsman's seat lowers for easier access to bathing ladder and dock or dinghy.

According to the 2020 sales particulars the hull was epoxied in 2017.

Last survey was in 2020 and can be made available to interested parties.

Engine(s)

Powerful Volvo engine. Oil and fuel filters and engine oil changed each season under current ownership.

Excellent access for maintenance and service from front and also from both sides from quarter cabins.

Bleeding after fuel change and changing the water pump impeller are particularly easy compared with some engines the owner has known.

Volvo sail drive. Diaphragm replaced under current ownership in 2020 and 2026.

Darglow Featherstream self-feathering 4 bladed propeller (2020).

Cruising speed 6/6.5 knots. Maximum speed 7.5 knots. Estimated fuel consumption 2.5/3 litres per hour.

Fuel tank holds 160 litres.

Sails & Spars

9/10 fractionally rigged sloop. Sparcraft silver anodised mast and boom. Double spreader, deck stepped mast. Sparcraft rod kicker. Stainless steel standing rigging (2020) with manual backstay tensioner. Harken headsail furling system. Removable bowsprit and Selden top-down furler for asymmetric. Deck stowed spinnaker pole with cover. Two Harken 48 self-tailing two speed sheet winches situated within reach of helm position. Two Harken 44 self-tailing two speed winches by companionway for halyards, single line reefing, outhaul, cunningham, kicker, and one end of mainsheet.

The other end of the mainsheet has a dinghy style jammer on a Harken mainsheet track on the cockpit sole with adjustable traveller.

Two single line slab reef lines are fitted and the mainsail has eyes for a third reef.

Fully battened Vectran mainsail by Quantum (2009) with ball bearing luff slides.
Spectra genoa by Dolphin (2008). Sacrificial UV luff protector replaced 2024.
Mainsail and genoa professionally cleaned 2024/5.
Sanders spinnaker with 2023 snuffer unused by this owner. Appears to be in good condition.
Asymmetric used by this owner a couple of times. Appears to be in good condition.

The owner considers that the genoa and mainsail are good for cruising for a further five or so seasons.
