Delia is a lovely 58ft cruiser stern narrowboat built by G J Reeves and fitted out by Black Prince. She's in excellent condition and we've done some improvements on her over the last couple of years, however due to our growing family, we're now back on land so she's ready to be someone else's adventure.
She was surveyed and blackened in 2021 and has been permanently moored since (only journey was from Iver to Southall). The survey is available upon request. A boat safety inspection has been recently performed and all recommendations have been addressed and the BSC can be provided as well.
The boat has a living area and kitchenette, bathroom, a main bedroom and an additional second bedroom or living space. Details are as follows:
- Kitchen has a Montpellier 240v fridge/freezer and a New Home 4 gas-ring freestanding hob/cooker.
- Bathroom has a full-size step-in shower and a cassette toilet.
- Mitsubishi electric split system air-conditioning unit on the boat, which offers heating and cooling throughout and is more economically efficient.
- Rinnai tankless direct water heater
- New carpets were installed in 2022
- New pram cover was installed in Feb 2024.
- 600L water tank
- 500L black water tank
- 225L fuel tank
The boat has an Isuzu 35hp engine which has had a full service completed in July 2024 and all electrics in the boat have also been refurbished (including the leisure batteries).
The boat comes with a fully transferrable residential mooring. The mooring itself is the same length as the boat and has electric and water hookup available directly on the mooring. Over the last few years we’ve built a 3x3m summerhouse with electricity and air-conditioning and a 2.5x2.5m kitchenette/shower room at either end of the mooring. These 2 rooms essentially provide an additional home on the mooring itself.
There’s also plenty of space to enjoy the garden, have a BBQ or a fire. You can also have phone lines installed to provide internet access or Sky TV - we currently have BT internet installed.
Delia is moored at Maypole Dock which is a beautiful private dock off the Grand Union canal in Southall. It’s a peaceful and quite green space in West London where we have resident wildlife including coots and swans. The dock consists of roughly 26 boats and is a community of all different kinds of welcoming people. In terms of facilities, the dock has garbage/recycling bins, a post room, laundry facilities, toilet facilities and a sluice. There is also gas bottles available for purchase through the dock. The dock is fully-gated and only accessible via gates with codes. The mooring itself is a fixed address in the borough of Ealing so council tax band A is paid alongside the mooring fees.
There’s good transport available nearby - Southall station is roughly a 12-minute walk away where you can catch the Elizabeth line and there’s easy access to the M4. There is also plenty of free parking available in the estate around the dock.
We are available for viewings on weekends so please get in touch if you're interested in seeing the boat or if you have any questions. We are open to reasonable offers.
