Description

Water Whippet was commissioned by her original owners and constructed at the Aynho Wharf Builders, near Banbury in 1999. The boat stayed in the ownership of her original owners until 2022. During this time, Water Whippet was a holiday boat for and only spent part of the year on the water. During the colder months, the boat was out of the water at a dry dock where the hull was blacked annually, meaning that the level of wear and tear over the years has been reduced.

Since 2022 the boat has been cruising around the London waterways. The engine was last professionally serviced in 2023 and has never has any issues. The biggest updates have been to the heating systems: in 2022 a morso squirrel multi fuel stove was installed in the living space and the diesel water heating system was replaced, supplying hot water to taps, shower and radiators.

The Hull was last blacked in 2022 and is booked for its next blacking this September. If any prospective buyer wants to organise a survey at the same time, this would save you the cost of the lifting fee (which is considerable!).

The kitchen is furnished with a gas oven, stove and fridge-freezer. Electricity is generated by 2 x solar panels and stored by 4 x leisure batteries. The 12v system can be converted to 24v by a Victron converter. Alternator can be used to top up batteries when solar charge is low.

Viewings
I will be away from the boat between Tuesday 20th
August - Saturday 31st August, but will try to squeeze in viewings whenever possible around these dates. I’m currently moored near the Springfield marina in Clapton.
