Netta - Potential Live Aboard - Wide Beam Barge.

Netta is 40 foot long and 10 foot in the beam, Wide Beam barge that is adapted for Long Term Cruising and potential Live-Aboard. She has just been refurbished and has been painted with two coats of grey phosphate primer ready for finishing in a colour scheme of your choice.

The on board accommodation consists of :-

A Large Saloon Area fitted with new carpet tiles, to accommodate loose furniture or space to 'build in' should you prefer, this area has a 5kw Multi-fuel stove fixed on a terracotta tile hearth. The area has a high ceiling and is flooded with natural light. Two double 240 volt sockets are fitted in this area. LED lighting is provided in 4 chrome directable spotlights, these are powered via the 240 volt system and by the inverter when out and about;

The Galley area, integrated with the Saloon Area, has a work surface with cupboards under, and fitted with a full stainless steel sink/drainer and stainless steel mixer tap. Coking is on a New full size Double Oven with Grill and 4 Burner Top. The cooker was converted by the maker to run off Propane Gas which is stored in the Gas Locker in the prow of the barge. An electric winch is mounted on the roof of the enclosed front deck area to lower and lift the gas bottles. In addition to the gas cooker, a Microwave oven is located a cupboard under the work surface. Two double 240 volt sockets are fitted in this area;

A new carpet tiled Corridor links the above areas to :-

A Self contained bedroom fitted with a full size double bed plinth. Large fresh water storage tank and 12 volt pumps are located under the bed plinth with further space for storage. Further storage space is available for free standing storage units LED lighting is provided in 2 directable spotlights, these are powered via the 240 volt system and by the inverter when out and about. The bed base and floor area are fitted with new carpet tiles;

The washing and toilet area is located at the stern of the barge and is accessed via a wide sliding door. The area is fully tiled and fitted with a Macerating WC which has 3 flush settings which electrically pump out to a tank of approximately 500 litres under the back deck. A Large Shower area with adjustable shower head and mixer valve contained behind a shower screen and the fitted wash basin with mixer taps and also with shower head all mounted on a work surface with cupboards under;

The Front Deck area is enclosed and carpeted being fully glazed to the front with removable side screens. The centre glazed panel is removable to give access to the spacious Gas Locker. Seating also provides storage for Wood /Coal and Ropes/ Anchor and Chain;

The barge is powered by a 3 cylinder, air cooled 44HP Lister HR Engine. This drives a hydraulic pump mounted directly to the fly wheel, the pump drives a hydraulic motor which is mounted on the inboard end of the propeller shaft. The propeller is rotated without any gear reduction, revolutions on the engine equals revolutions on the propeller. The engine is mounted in a well proportioned, self-contained Engine Room. The 240 volt switch box, Starter Battery and 2 x 110 amp hour Leisure Batteries are also located hear. The 3 kilowatt inverter is mounted on the engine room bulkhead;

The Barge has a large deck area at the stern under which is the Diesel Tank, Waste Tank and access to the Weed Hatch.
