Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Rita, a classic Dutch barge full of character and now ready to be fitted to your tastes. Rita had a new superstructure around eight years ago, and is fully insulated.
Rita offers a good amount of space, and has plenty of windows throughout offering lots of light. there is also excellent headroom throughout the boat. The layout offers the opportunity to create a good sized kitchen/lounge area with a shower and toilet to the side, and a large double cabin. The wheelhouse once fitted out is big enough to provide a second lounge area. Flooring is all in place as is insulation, but she will need wiring and plumbing as well as decorating.
Externally there is a large amount of useable deck space on two levels, and there are hand rails all the way around to safely walk around the exterior. She will need painting externally, but the structure appears to be in very good order.
The engine is a General Motors single diesel. The engine has been turned regularly but not started and will obviously need servicing. The wheelhouse will need equipping should you wish to cruise her.
Rita can stay on her current mooring whilst being fitted out subject to the mooring owners agreement. Once work is complete she can again stay if you require a leisure mooring, again subject to the mooring owners agreement. Should you require a residential mooring there is a possibility one can be sourced locally.
This is a great and rare opportunity to purchase a lovely Dutch barge and fit her out exactly as you wish to, and with the option have her as a static or cruising home, or as a weekend/holiday home.
