This traditional “Tjalk” was originally built in the 1890s as a working boat but was converted into a live-aboard vessel in the 1980s. With modern updates and improvements made in the years since, this houseboat features a large outdoor wooden deck for barbecues, cocktail parties, and watching the sunset.
COMFORTABLE INTERIOR
Light and bright with many large windows throughout, the interior boasts two bedrooms, a spacious kitchen with granite countertops, a wood burning stove, and central heating.
Galley features spacious cabinetry to stock a well-equipped kitchen. Kitchen appliances include a large sink, gas hob, hob hood with extractor fan, oven, full-size refrigerator/freezer and microwave.
The spacious living room features a dual-fuel (wood and coal) stove to keep occupants toasty and warm during cold and foggy winter months. There are two built-in bookcases and three inset shelves. The living room boasts enough space to accommodate a full-size sofa as well as table and chairs to comfortably seat 4-6 people.
A newly renovated bathroom is equipped with an electric pump-out toilet, basin with illuminated mirror, magnifying make-up mirror, heated towel rack and shower enclosure.
Two bedrooms (cabins). The main bedroom features a built-in full-size bed, skylight, and plentiful wardrobes and built-in storage.
Home comforts include a Zanussi washing machine, and diesel-powered heating and hot water system.
