Britannia (original name and unchanged), National Historic Ships Nr 1603, is available for sale. Principal dimensions; LOA 19.8m, Beam 5.6m, present Draft 2.4m. Built/launched in late 1952 as a Seine Netter, converted to Trawl and subsequently refitted as a comfortable ‘live aboard’ cruiser. Copies of original paperwork are available.
She is coded MCA Category 3, 20miles, 24 hour operation, 12 passengers plus 2 crew and is presently working as a charter boat.
Built of larch on oak frames, hull is, we believe, original, and in good condition. All major refitting carried out by Mackay Boat Builders, Arbroath, who also carry out annual, out of water, maintenance. Some of the original features have been retained.
