40ft Cruiser Stern narrowboat, built by Liverpool Boats.
Been living aboard for 9 years, reluctantly selling to move on land.
Enquiries by email or whatsapp message preferred. If you phone please leave a voicemail so I can call back. Likely to do viewings from 29 May 2025.
Open plan layout:
Living room to Bow, fitted sofa units fold into full width guest bed. Comfy bed for two but previous owner built for 3 kids. Extremely versatile as heaps of storage underneath and seat height built so you can gaze out of the windows. Solid fuel fire and storage space for wood/coal etc.
Kitchen mid boat. I’ve been using the work surface as a desk with stool since working from home but can re-attach the cupboard door. Stove fully functioning but chipped paintwork (oven, grill, 4 burners). 12v coolbox, but power-hungry so switched off unless holiday cruising and used for storage.
Bed towards stern; fixed double. Raised platform, plentiful storage space underneath bed + small wardrobe (contains switchboard/shower pump but decent storage)
Bathroom to stern: Shower (heated by calorifier under bed), cassette toilet (3 cassettes: good for liveaboard life), Sink with good corner storage.
Exterior:
Cruiser deck with buffalo boards
Security – steel doors, no visible padlocks. Unusual feature of window covers for one side of the boat. Quite a unique feature that attracts admiration. Very easily can be removed or swapped sides. Previous owner fitted due to stone throwers on a mooring; I keep them on towpath side for privacy/security.
Engine: Barrus Shire 1200
Gas locker
Solar – two solar mounted on storage boxes. 12v electric system, fitted invertor can also power 240v plugs down one side of the boat. USB/Car charger on the other.
I have not altered the fit-out but presume it is well-insulated as has always felt snug and dry.
