Deze motorsleepboot van het type "Amsterdammer" is een karakteristieke boot dat tot enkele jaren geleden nog actief was in de beroepsvaart. De fraaie 3-cilinder Kromhout-dieselmotor zorgt niet alleen voor een authentieke uitstraling, maar maakt ook het varen tot een bijzondere belevenis. Dankzij de doorvaarthoogte van circa 2,00 meter, met de stuurhut neergeklapt, is een zeer groot vaargebied bereikbaar. Met haar royale breedte biedt het schip een verrassend comfortabele leefruimte. De modern ingerichte voorroef vormt een aangenaam verblijf, terwijl de praktische achterroef is voorzien van een douche en toilet. De centrale verwarming en de generator maken het schip bovendien grotendeels zelfvoorzienend en geschikt voor gebruik gedurende het gehele jaar. Ook de historie van deze sleepboot is bijzonder. Ze werd gebouwd voor de Stadsreinigingsdienst Amsterdam onder de naam SR 12. In 1945 kwam de boot in het bezit van Scheepswerf De Overtoom, waar ze werd hernoemd tot Narrow-Escape. Sinds 1952 deed ze dienst bij de Nederlandsche Dok- en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij (NDSM) onder de naam Shipdock VI. Naar onze mening is dit een bijzonder en sfeervol schip dat zich uitstekend leent voor lange tochten over de Europese binnenwateren, maar ook een fraaie verschijning is tijdens nautische evenementen en bijeenkomsten van historische bedrijfsvaartuigen.

The beautiful 3-cylinder Kromhout diesel engine not only enhances her authentic character but also makes every voyage a truly enjoyable experience. With an air draft of approximately 2.00 metres, with the wheelhouse folded down, she offers access to an extensive cruising area. Thanks to her generous beam, the vessel provides a surprisingly comfortable living accommodation. The modern fore cabin offers a pleasant living space, while the practical aft cabin is fitted with a shower and toilet. The central heating and the generator make the vessel largely self-sufficient and suitable for year-round use. The history of this tugboat is also remarkable. She was built for the Amsterdam Municipal Cleansing Department under the name SR 12. In 1945 she became the property of Shipyard De Overtoom, where she was renamed into Narrow-Escape. Since 1952 she served with the Netherlands Dock and Shipbuilding Company (NDSM) under the name Shipdock VI. In our opinion, this is a unique and atmospheric vessel, perfectly suited for extended cruises on the European inland waterways, while also making an impressive appearance at maritime events and gatherings of historic commercial vessels.

Der wunderschöne 3-Zylinder-Kromhout-Dieselmotor verleiht dem Schiff nicht nur ihren authentischen Charakter, sondern macht jede Fahrt zu einem besonderen Erlebnis. Mit einer Durchfahrtshöhe von ca. 2,00 Metern mit heruntergeklapptem Steuerhaus steht ein sehr großes Fahrgebiet zur Verfügung. Dank ihrer großzügigen Breite bietet das Schiff überraschend komfortable Wohnverhältnisse. Die modern eingerichtete Vorschiffskabine lädt zum angenehmen Aufenthalt ein, während die praktische Achterkabine mit Dusche und WC ausgestattet ist. Eine Zentralheizung und ein Generator machen das Schiff weitgehend autark und ganzjährig einsetzbar. Auch die Geschichte dieses Schleppers ist bemerkenswert. Sie wurde für die Stadsreinigingsdienst Amsterdam unter dem Namen SR 12 gebaut. Im Jahr 1945 ging das Schiff in den Besitz der Schiffswerft De Overtoom über, wo er in „Narrow-Escape“ umbenannt wurde. Seit Jahr 1952 war sie bei der Nederlandsche Dok- en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij (NDSM) unter dem Namen Shipdock VI im Einsatz. Unserer Meinung nach handelt es sich um ein besonderes und stimmungsvolles Schiff, das sich hervorragend für ausgedehnte Reisen auf den europäischen Binnengewässern eignet und zugleich bei maritimen Veranstaltungen sowie Treffen historischer Berufsschiffe eine eindrucksvolle Erscheinung ist.
