Description

Just Around The Bend is a 62′ long narrowboat with a semi-trad stern. The boat is as good as new having seen little work in it’s time on the water, shown by the low 552 engine hours.

The boat has just had an engine service and all systems are in fine working order at the time of inspection. The engine is a Vetus M4.17 with Technodrive gear box and water cooled stern gear. A hospital silencer makes the noise from the engine very minimal, both when cruising and in the cabin.

Electric power on board is provided by 3 x 200ah batteries and the engine has it’s own starter battery. These are charged by the alternators. The boat also has a Sterling combi 2500w inverter charger as well as a shore line attachment. Additionally the electrical system has a travel pack generator installed which provides 240v mains power when the engine is running.

Heating comes from either a Mikuni diesel heater or the Morso Squirrel multi fuel stove. The Morso Squirrel being the most popular stove amongst boaters for good reason, known for being easy to run whilst outputting a good amount of heat. The engine also heats the hot water as well as the Mikuni diesel heater via the calorifier (hot water tank) which also has an electric immersion heater.

Internally the boat has from the stern entering the internals a master cabin with double bed, dresser and wardrobe.

The bathroom has a large quadrant shower with gulper pump, extractor fan, wash hand basing, mirror and macerator pump out toilet.

The dining room has a double dinnette table which converts into a double bed with storage underneath. The dinnette cusions are made from fine Italian leather.

Into the kitchen there is a fully equipped galley with stylish curved worktop counters and cabinets finished with shaker doors and a black marble work surface. Appliances consist of; Vannette 4 burner hob, belling oven and grill, microwave and 12 vot fridge with freezer box. The kitchen sink also has a small recessed drainer which is plumbed into the waste water system.

The lounge has a bench style sofa which again converts in to a double bed and has Italian leather cushions. The TV cabinet is nestled into the corner of the saloon at the bow and is opposite the Morso Squirrel multi fuel stove. Between which are the double bow doors leading onto the well deck.

All windows throughout the boat are double glazed providing additional insulation.

The boat is finished to a high standard and would make an excellent boat for many years to come.
