Nelson 40/42 built in 1972 and completed by Guernsey Boat Building, Skeabost was built to a very high standard, but now is in need of a full cometic refurbishment. A recent survey of her Nov 2022 concludes " The hull and superstructure of the Nelson 40 motor cruiser called 'Skeabost' was found to be structurally sound at the time of the survey. The boat appeared to have been unused for some considerable time, a complete refit is needed to bring the boats condition up to today's normally accepted standards.

She travelled to her location under her own power, the engines having been professionally serviced prior to her trip.
