This Nick Thorpe 55ft Narrowboat is a absolute pleasure to cruise built in 2017 put in water 2019. I am the 2nd owner from July 2021.
The 1st owner bought the shell and used professionals to fit it out. Technically called a self build but I have the original invoices from the various specialists.
The interior is scandi- minimalist vibes. Think #tinyhome #vanlife #offgridliving
It has everything if you want to live aboard or just to enjoy stress free cruising. Top of the range fixtures have been used Eberspacher, Whale, Victron, BetaMarine Engine and maintained correctly. I had a full boat Survey in 2021 which I can share. I am happy to help you organise a new one when you go ahead.
I will share my knowledge with you and help you where possible. As I was a first time buyer/cruiser I understand.
I have cruised in and around London upto Bishop's Stortford. It has been easy to manage solo and with friends. The joy of the canal and sense of adventure in a stress free boat are waiting for the next owner. The engine has started every single time. The cruiser stern is great for cruising with friends.
You may look at cheaper boats and have to do expensive work. You may look at expensive boats and wonder if the cost is justified. When I bought this boat I felt like it hit the sweet spot. Style, Substance & Price.
