Cloud Nine - Full spec:
Nimbus boats are renowned for their high standards of build and craftsmanship and this Nimbus 29C is no exception. Cloud Nine has excellent seagoing capabilities and combines practicality with economical performance. Powered by a single Volvo Penta 200hp AD41/DP diesel engine and a 290 DP Duo prop Volvo stern drive. The enclosed wheelhouse is great for the British climate and the huge sliding roof windows overhead let the sun and light stream in. She has been fully serviced and antifouled every year.
The engine was removed in 2024 to fit new trim rams for the stern drive. Whilst out the engine was thoroughly checked, cleaned and the injectors sent away for testing, cleaning and they were calibrated to maximise performance and fuel economy. New Volvo Penta twin propellers fitted in summer 2024 to ensure peak performance as advised by Swordfish marine.

ACCOMMODATION Below deck: To the bow is the lounge area, full standing there is a U-shaped sofa and table, a large mirror, wall lights and speakers. There is a mount and wiring for a TV. Whilst this area doubles as the bed area using cushions and the table as the centre-piece, we spent the summer on board so we bought 2 mattresses that we cut to shape, together with a custom cut board to make a comfortable bed, we keep this area as our ‘bedroom’. We have removed the cushions and table and they are safely in storage at home. The mattresses can be included in the sale or we can remove them. There is a wardrobe and cupboard storage and a small locker to keep bottles.
There is a second sleeping area port side that is a small double berth. This leads through to the storage area for the batteries and electrics.
On the starboard side, the practical heads and shower compartment has fiberglass floor, walls and roof, so it’s easy to keep clean. There is a Jabsco sea toilet (2022), sink, hand held shower and also some storage space with access to the seacock.
Up some small stairs to the Helm and dinette area, there is not a door but a curtain which helps with air flow, the Heads door will clip across. There are Perspex sliding roof windows (with covers) Glass sliding doors to the stern and glass all round.
The helm is on the starboard with clear access to all navigation equipment, there is a perspex locker for charts or navigation books. Wooden steering wheel, bow thruster, windlass controls, trim tab controls and single gear/throttle lever. The dinette area is portside and has seating for 4 people at the table, one of the bench seats is reversible, allowing passengers to enjoy the view while sailing. The table swivels to change space and drops down to provide a small berth. There are 5 storage areas next to the table.
The integrated galley is equipped with a gas 2 ring gas cooker, gas oven, microwave (under the helm seat) and drawer refrigerator, as well as hot and cold pressurised water. There are ample drawers and cupboards to store all that's needed for a stay aboard. Under the floor is a very large storage area, it stays cool so great for storing extra supplies, easily accessible by lifting the door. The accumulator is found here and pipes for the eberspacher heating as well as access to the fresh water tank.
At the stern of the boat, you'll also find a rear deck area with wooden benches on both the starboard and port side with blue cushions to fit. This area also is fully covered by a full canopy purchased in 2024, and can therefore be used in the changeable Scottish climate. The canopy is flexible and the sides and 3 panels at the stern can be removed or rolled up, it can be stripped back so you only have the top cover on, handy for fishing, relaxing or dining. The gas locker is to the starboard side and a mount for an outboard engine is on the port side.
Two large doors on the floor lead to the engine bay, there is great storage on either side. The engine is very accessible (our engineers were delighted at the accessibility) We have storage boxes down there and our electric bike easily fits in. The single Volvo penta engine sits in the centre. There is a bathing platform with ladder and snap davits attachments for the
