Built 1963 by Noble's of Girvan as a herring ring-netter (ex-BA211) she has been my office/workshop as well as used for various other jobs in the last 20 years such as towing a gunboat from Southampton to Plymouth, safety vessel for a N. Sea kayak crossing, accommodation while working in Amsterdam and more recently as a boat stage at maritime festivals up & down the East coast from Scarborough to Ipswich and Paimpol and Brest festivals in Brittany.
Some of these adventures along with historical pictures of Marie while she was still fishing can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOUDeyF7UyE...
Marie is for sale as she is no longer working as the stage boat. Marie was hauled out in Sep to check and maintain the hull (larch on oak frames), anodes and skin fittings and a fresh coat of antifoul and topsides.
Dimensions are 17.95m length, 5.5m beam, 2.35m draught, weight 55t with a Volvo TAMD121C engine - 350hp de-rated to 250hp. Accommodation is much as it was when she was a fishing vessel, ie 5 x cot bunks in the forepeak, galley (extended), fish hold space, heads, engine room and wheel house, with the addition of the deck cabin with 2 berths and access to the forepeak, galley, hold and heads.
