Description

Sea the Stars is a beautiful example of the classic North Quay 17 open sailing boat with canvas cuddy. The North Quay 17 is a very attractive gaff sloop which is easily towed due to its comparatively low weight. She has a very traditional feel with her bronze fittings, varnished woodwork and Douglas fir varnished mast in a tabernacle. She is in immaculate condition having not been afloat since storage under cover last winter. Complete with cuddy berth cushions, cockpit cover, sail cover and winter cover all in excellent condition. Sails have not been rigged since professional valet and are also in excellent condition. She has a road trailer and is powered by a Yamaha 4 stroke 4 hp outboard which has only been run in a test tank since professional service. She has been freshly anti fouled.
This boat is a joy to behold and always attracts admiring glances and favourable comments. She is stable, seaworthy and safe for the family whilst showing a clean pair of heels to nearly all similar craft due to her light weight construction and generous sail plan. She is absolutely ready to sail away and can be seen ashore on Exmoor.

Construction

12 mm Western Cedar tongued and grooved strips glued together then sheathed with woven glass and epoxy resin externally and internally. Hull is stiffened with hog and stem.
