Description

The Orkney 440 (also known as the Coastliner 14) is praised as a classic,robust, and versatile small boat, ideal for solo anglers or families, offering great stability, easy trailering (towable by a family car), and excellent fuel economy. Orkney build with a strong GRP spec too. It has good cuddy shelter and is well respected for its simple design, seaworthiness, stability, high freeboard (dry) and wide beam.
The 440 is known for its stability, even in rougher conditions, making it good for inshore fishing and diving and ventures offshore in the right weather. Orkneys always keep their price and are much sought after. I bought this boat from the first owner in June 25 and it was the Boat Show exhibit. Always looked after and serviced. I bought It for a particular project whilst my larger boat was under repair. As a boat builder of 50 yrs experience I never trust another mans trailer (hard won experience) if towing any distance and for peace of mind I replaced the entire axle, both (complete) hubs and both wheels and tyres (£1000+). They have never been in the water and have travelled 60+ miles. The fitted cover is brand new and both engines have had a full professional service 15 hours ago. The aux engine is a 2.3 Honda the main engine is a 20HP Honda which was new in 2007 with very low hours as boat was a picnic boat in Chichester harbour (c/w with service book). A fully working plumbed in Garmin Fishfinder 160C is included. Also included is a new winch.
