Description

Horus is a charming 47’ traditional stern narrowboat built in 2006 by David Piper. She was blacked recently in April 2025, and repainted in May 2025.
She is fitted out in oak faced ply with oak trim throughout, and vinyl floor tiles to the galley with carpet elsewhere.
The large well deck (6’0”) can easily be used for al-fresco dining with a table and chairs if required, and can be protected from the elements with a cratch cover on board too.
Steps lead down, through glazed forward doors, into the 9’6” saloon. Here is a comfortable sofa bed (storage under) which converts to a spare double, a solid fuel stove, 12v Tv, plus a cupboard and shelves for storage.
Next is the 5’3” galley, with laminate worktops, stainless steel sink, 12v LEC fridge, Statesman 4 burner gas hob, oven and grill, and more storage. A starboard side hatch brings in additional light and fresh air.
The 6’0” off-corridor bathroom follows, with a bath and shower over, ceramic wash basin, Thetford cassette toilet, and again more cupboards.
Following, the 8’1” bedroom features a 6’3” x 4’0” double berth with large storage under, and a cupboard over (with a TV mounted on the side). If you wanted a washing machine on board, one potential place would be at the base of the full height single wardrobe at the foot of the bed. A pigeon box over brings in additional light and fresh air.
A half bulkhead separates this from the engine room, with the main boat electrics, and the Beta 38hp engine housed below. This was last serviced in January 2025. Steps lead out onto the trad stern deck.
12v power is via 4x 110ah domestics with a separate starter (all NEW summer 2023). 240v power is via a Waeco 1500w inverter, or landline hookup. A galvanic isolator and Waeco battery charger are also installed.
Hot water is provided via the engine or immersion, and lighting on board is LED throughout.
She comes equipped with everything to just turn the key and go!
