Built in 1969 by the renowned Porter & Haylett shipyard for a well-known entrepreneurial member of the Royal Yacht Squadron, “Teasel of Wroxham” is a classic gentlemans motoryacht of a carvel timber construction, with iroko planking fastened to steam-bent oak frames. Just 10 Otter Class 36s were built over a five year period from 1966 to 1971 – they are pretty, rare, and very desirable. Now brought to the market by just her second owner, “Teasel of Wroxham“s layout, designed by J Francis Jones, features a secure internal wheelhouse, superb second command position on the bridge, a terrific aft deck for entertaining, and very functional interior. She is powered by twin Perkins diesel engines on shafts, connected to 3-blade bronze propellors, all expertly maintained by Hamilton Marine on the South Coast of the UK.

In both ownerships, “Teasel of Wroxham” has cruised extensively along both sides of the English Channel, and down through the French canals to the Med. She is extremely comfortable at sea and, due to her twin-screws, easy to operate in the marina. Her early life saw her feature regularly as a Committee Boat for the Royal Yacht Squadron, right up to the late 1990’s.
