Built in 1986 by Sadler Yachts in Poole. Vega is a well-loved Sadler 29 with bilge keels, allowing it to enter shallower spots and to dry out. The Sadler 29 is a well-proven and exceptionally seaworthy family cruiser with impeccable manners and crisp performance. Vega has been our boat since 2017, where we have used it for day sailing, coastal cruising and some club racing. Its previous owner was more adventurous and sailed her to St Kilda, such is the versatility of this boat. She is a great boat, easy to sail and very re-assuring. Well maintained.

The accommodation offers up to six berths in two cabins. Forward cabin with V berth and infill to create double. Opening hatch to foredeck and stowage areas. Separate heads compartment to port with Jabsco marine toilet (new 2015) and washbasin. This Sadler 29 was built by Sadler Yachts in 1986 to a design by Martin Sadler. White GRP hull featuring the Sadler twin skin hull construction provides thermal and acoustic insulation and makes the boat very strong. White GRP coach roof with grey moulded non-slip deck surfaces. Tiller steering to transom hung rudder with full length skeg. Tiller extension. Teak rubbing strake and grab rails. Self-draining cockpit and anchor well. The cockpit and locker tops have had a teak decking added.
Location:
We have had a great season sailing Vega in 2025 and she was craned out in September at the end of the season. Vega is located at Solway Yacht Club in Dumfries and Galloway allowing easy viewing and any survey to be conducted. Craning in is planned at the yacht club for Saturday 4th April 2026.
Pricing:
We are looking for £10,500 (or a very near offer) allowing someone to sail Vega in the 2026 season.
