Tela 16'6" LOD (18'9" overall) Classic gaff rigged Daysailer and trailer. Solid GRP construction with galvanized steel drop keel and wooden mast and spars and 250kgs of ballast. The "Wessex Waffler" never fails to attract admiring comments on Chichester Harbour. As you'd expect from a design which has its origin in a Bristol estuary pilot cutter where speed is money, she is fleet of foot for a traditional boat, sails beautifully through the tack and sails particularly well in light winds and to windward. In the eight years I have owned her she has been sailed predominantly but not exclusively single handed. She is presently rigged with seperate gaff and throat halyards, but the original combined rig is available. New Jeckells mainsail winter 2022, Jib Westaway 2014. Wykeham-Martin Furling gear, available but not presently fitted. Boat just antifouled and on trailer. New trailer suspension and bearings 2020 and new wheels 2025. Canvas all-over blue cover just cleaned and reproofed. Varnishwork in good order. Mercury 2.2HP 2-stroke long shaft outboard available for sale separately.
