Beautiful Yacht designed by Jason Kerr, one of only four prototypes built for the more famous Southerly 49 ( Distant Shores Two ) and destined to become a classic.
This Yacht has an extensive international & British cruising record with two owners until now. She is well maintained & moored at present on the East Coast where her minimal draft with her keel up is very useful. When dropped the keel is deep & affords an outstanding upwind performance for a comfortable well equipped cruising boat.

Bow master double cabin with adjoining office/ vanity area/ spare chart room.
Two stern double cabins with dividing Lee clothes if needed.
Central saloon seating area with two normal length sofa/ sleeping berths & one short one.

Construction

Hull structure uses the Nordseal system, with sandwich construction topsides ( PVC foam ) & a single skin bottom stiffened by foam cored transverse floors & bilge stringer. Bi-axial reinforcements are used with local application of uni-directionals. The resin is predominantly DCPD.
The keel trunk is an integral part of the hull structure. Bulkheads are lightweight foam cored & bonded to the hull.

Foam cores are vacuum bagged to ensure the integrity of the sandwich construction.

Winches Lewmar types 54, 46 ( powered ) 44. All sheets & regular haliards led to clutches in cockpit. Selden jib furler to powered winch. Fenders & boathooks ( 3 including ring catcher). Long handled scrubbing brush, deck brushes, buckets & cleaning equipment.

Below deck:- Electric fan cooling & Eberspacher hydronic heating throughout. Cooker stove gimballed, Force 10 fuelled by Camping gas 907 ( butane) cylinders (3). Refrigerator & Freezer both keel cooled. Radio + CD player.
TV/ DVD player. Cutlery & Kitchen equipment ( + Pots & Pans ). Plates, glasses & mugs fitting in cabinets designed for them.
Lighting touch switches, original Empirbus system ( complicated electronics) removed with conventional re wiring.
Batteries 12 volt. 4 service ( Trojan ) 1 starter ( Lorry ). Charging from Alternator, Duogen wind & water turbine, photoelectric mobile panel ( for mooring )
Water systems:- Salt to Spectra water maker, second kitchen sink, both heads & steel holding tank ( @100 litres).
Fresh pressurised to sink, 2 head basins & 2 showers with 2 water tanks holding 545 litres. Fresh water pump with accumulator tank. Stern deck shower & extension to anchor locker never used but original equipment still fitted.
Various tools & spare parts, particularly electrical. Semco teak deck cleaners & sealers ( optional ).
