Introducing Hope, a beautifully presented 57ft traditional narrowboat crafted by renowned boatbuilder Steve Hudson in 2005. Every detail of this vessel speaks to careful, skilled construction, from its solid steel flat-bottomed hull to the thoughtful finish throughout the interior. Having benefited from recent updates by the current owners, alongside a professional blacking completed in May 2026, Hope is fully prepared and ready to take you cruising the waterways with confidence from the moment you take the helm.
The quality of the build is evident in every element of its structure and fit-out. The hull is constructed from robust 10/6/5/4 steel, lined with sprayfoam insulation for year-round comfort, and finished with engineered oak flooring and solid oak tongue-and-groove cabin sides – materials chosen for their durability and timeless appeal. Powered by a reliable Beta Marine 43hp four-cylinder diesel engine with keel cooling and a PRM gearbox, this narrowboat delivers smooth, dependable performance, supported by a 40-gallon fuel tank and a 100-gallon stainless steel water tank for extended journeys.
Thoughtful engineering and high-spec components continue throughout the vessel’s systems. Heating and hot water are efficiently provided via a Calorifier, immersion heater and Webasto system, complemented by a charming Puffin solid fuel stove that adds warmth and character on cooler days. The electrical setup is designed for both reliability and convenience, with 12v and 240v circuits, a Victron 3kw inverter and one starter battery alongside four leisure batteries to power all your onboard needs.
The galley is fitted with practical, high-quality appliances including a Belling cooker, Thetford four-burner hob, Shoreline 12v/240v fridge and microwave – all selected to combine functionality with lasting performance. Accommodation offers comfortable sleeping for two in fixed berths, with flexible space in the saloon that can easily accommodate additional berths should you need them. The well-appointed bathroom features a ceramic bowl cassette toilet, shower, vanity basin and heated towel rail, finished to the same high standard as the rest of the vessel.
Additional practical touches include two side hatches and a cratch cover, while the boat’s safety certificate is valid until July 2027.
Hope represents an outstanding opportunity to own a narrowboat built with the care, precision and quality that Steve Hudson vessels are famous for – fully updated, professionally maintained and ready for your adventures on the water.

BUYERS & SELLERS
When you buy a boat from us you pay all monies in to our company clients trust account which means that the buyers and sellers money is protected. This is the same account that solicitors set up for house sales .This money does not belong to the company it belongs to the buyer until the sale is complete and then we pay the seller from the company clients trust account. We cannot release the money from the Clients Trust Account to the seller until the vessel has been accepted and handed over to the buyer because if there was a fault with the vessel and the buyer refused to accept it and wanted their money back we could not do this because the seller would of already had the money. This could become a very costly and messy problem for all parties.
This money never enters our company current account. This also means that we cannot use customers money for other purchases/reasons. If at any point the company went bust then the buyers/sellers money is safe and it would go back to the rightful owner of the money.
We have had this company clients trust account set up from day one to protect our customers money. This account is a secure holding account. We pay the seller monies due from this account when the buyer has signed to accept the vessel. Payment is made from this account to the seller by cheque from the clients Trust Account which is protected guaranteed funds.
