This is one of 16 residential moorings with a friendly community of boaters to offer help and support, and is on the junction of a small stream that feeds a picturesque weirs pool where there have been recent sightings of otters and water voles and regular sightings of kingfishers.
The mooring is adjacent to the beautiful Iffley meadows , an SSSI, where there are drifts of snakes head fritillaries in the Spring.
It is a stone’s throw from East Oxford’s vibrant cultural centre Cowley and Oxford’s city centre
On the other side of the meadow by Iffley lock is a lovely riverside pub
The mooring has gated access, mains electricity and water, refuse removal, sewage disposal
and an official postal address
It is essentially a fixed mooring located behind a low footbridge which requires marine skills to get the boat under.
