The residential mooring is 10 minutes cycle ride from central Oxford along the Thames towpath. Shops and bus stops and Redbridge Park and Ride on the Abingdon Road are close by, and Iffley Meadow Nature Reserve is 3 minutes walk away.

This is one of 16 residential moorings with a friendly community of boaters to offer help and support, and is on the junction of a small stream that feeds a picturesque weirs pool where there have been recent sightings of otters and water voles and regular sightings of kingfishers.

The mooring is adjacent to the beautiful Iffley meadows , an SSSI, where there are drifts of snakes head fritillaries in the Spring.
It is a stone’s throw from East Oxford’s vibrant cultural centre Cowley and Oxford’s city centre
On the other side of the meadow by Iffley lock is a lovely riverside pub

The mooring has gated access, mains electricity and water, refuse removal, sewage disposal
and an official postal address
It is essentially a fixed mooring located behind a low footbridge which requires marine skills to get the boat under.
