Beautiful Trintella 1A - 29' for sale.
We are the third owners of this fantastic sailing yacht since her launch in 1965, and she retains much of her original character and charm, along with origonal name'Phoenix'.
Designed by E.G Van de Stadt in the early 1960's, GRP hull constructed by Tyler Boat Company (England) 1964, Marketed for performance cruising by Berthon Boat Company (Lymington), and fully fitted out by Dutch Craftsmen at the Anne Wever Shipyard. In current ownership by family of four for the past 6 years 'Phoenix' was subject of en extensive refit at Cockwell's Mylor Creek Boatyard during the past winter of 2018/19.
Now offered for sale in a ready to use condition, and all set for another 50 years cruising!
Works conducted during 2018/19 Refit included:
Full strip and varnish of all woodwork using Epiphanes Varnish - 12 coats applied to all surfaces.
Polish of original GRP Gelcoat on hull.
Full polish of all stainless steel.
Hard sand and application of Trilux 33 Antifoul system.
Prop Speed Antifoul system applied to fixed 3 blade propeller.
Rudder removed, stripped to marine ply base and re-sheathed in Epoxy Glass, Primer & Antifoul.
Propeller shaft removed with bearings and grease system renewed.
Yanmar 2GM Engine fully serviced.
Potable Water Tank cleaned and all associated hoses replaced.
All Sea-cocks removed and replaced with new.
Wooden mast stripped, 12 coats Epiphanes Varnish applied, all fittings serviced and refitted.

New Sumbrella Plus Spray hood
New Jabsco Marine Toilet with associated pipe works

The wooden mast is on a great tabernacle system and the inventory includes a wishbone to aid stepping of the mast. Easily achieved with only two people.

Colour coordinated interior bunk cushions - sleeps 5 in 5 single bunks, or forward has infill to create double
Galley is very basic, with two burner hob (no gimbals) and single drawer. VVery good dtorage in 6 large cupboards and additional storage under berths.

2 bunks forward on a V-shape, with infill available to convert to a double.
2 saloon side berths - lift the seat back rests and these become very accommodating. Varnished Lee boards available for sea use.
1 aft starboard pilot berth of good size.
GRP Hull. Polished 2019. We like her in her original GRP state, but a new owner may choose to paint her as after more than 50 years, although she looks good, she is arguably ready for a paint job!
