A rare opportunity to own a traditionally styled Narrowboat.
Built on a Tyler Wilson hull with ‘Josher’ bow and fitted out by Starline boats, Escape Velocity has all the features expected of a traditional Narrowboat.
Entering from the stern is a boatman’s cabin. This has a single berth which can also convert to a double cross-bed. There is plenty of storage space and a nice feature is the solid fuel stove with hotplate.
Forward of the boatman’s cabin is the heart of the boat, the engine room with a 1950’s Lister HR2 air cooled diesel engine.
Leaving the engine room, there is a bathroom on the left. This is fitted out with a vanity unit with inset basin, a hip bath with shower over and a Mansfield toilet.
Next is the main cabin with double bed and further storage beneath.
The galley and saloon is open planned.
The galley is equipped with a gas oven/grill, separate gas hob and a 12 volt fridge.
A composite sink and drainer is set into the worktop beneath which are cupboards and drawers.
The saloon is spacious and shelving is provided along both sides.
It is currently fitted with loose furnishings including various chairs and a folding table.
Additional light and ventilation is gained from an opening side hatch.
A solid fuel stove is situated in at the fore end of the boat in one corner and in the other a cupboard with TV above.
As well as the solid fuel stoves additional heating is provided throughout by radiators powered by an Eberspacher diesel boiler.
Steps lead through doors onto the front deck.
Escape velocity comes fully equipped and is ready to use straight away. Furniture and fittings are included in the sal
