Me and my Fiancé have lived on George for 7 years and we are very reluctant to sell him, but we have recently moved into a house and unfortunately we have to let him go.
George is a 40’ all steel traditional style narrowboat built by Whally Boats in 1980.
The engine is a BMC 1.8 four cylinder diesel, with a PRM 160 gearbox and a newly fitted alternator. There are three brand new leisure battery's and one starter battery which power the lights and the water pumps, there is also 240 mains fitted with sockets throughout the boat.
Inside there are two long built in sofas, with storage underneath, that can be made into a large king sized bed, there is also a fitted sofa that again has storage and folds out into a double bed. The kitchen has recently been fitted with blue pearl granite and handle-less cupboard doors. There is a double wardrobe on the back wall next to the table and a bathroom with a toilet and shower in the next room.
I have just had the boat taken out from the water and blacked so it is all ready to sail off.
