This is a charming wide beam boat that I designed and had built by Trickett boat builders in 2012. She is basically a steel wide beam but much of her is clad in varnished teak so she has a very traditional classic look. She makes a wonderful year round houseboat with a wood burner and warm air heating for winter and lots of opening windows for the summer. I have enjoyed living aboard for 12 months. There are large opening windows, and full width doors to the forward cockpit allowing a real outdoor feeling from within the saloon. There is a cover for the forward cockpit so it can be an extra ro...

Stunning, sought after classic Tumlare yacht for sale: "Schnapps".
A fine example of the classic Knud Reimers design, "Schnapps", sail No 12, launched as "Tinkerbelle" in around 1938 is now for sale for the best of reasons: we need a bigger boat!
The Tumlare class has a slim, long keel-hull with distinctive canoe stern and stern hung rudder. This particular boat has been moored on Windermere for at least the last 8 years and has been stored indoors over winter, although in her long past has been sailed on the south coast. This class has a rich history, desc...

CAPREOLUS was built by R A Newman of Poole in 1960. She (and a number of other USA built classes and types of her era) were directly inspired by vessels such as the famous S&S designed Ocean racing yawl Finisterre. The most prolific designer of the type was Aage Nielsen who went on to design a number of classes for S&S and Hinckley, all very similar to CAPREOLUS. Other typical examples of the type are the 35’ Gumdrop yawls, the Nevins yawls, and the Hinckley Pilot yawls. The design shows a handsome classic profile with a good degree of sheer and a classic transom on a long overh...
