Sentinel is a 70ft trad style tug narrow boat in excellent condition. November 2019 survey certificate available
Completed in 1976 she was one of the last working boats launched in the UK carrying port barrels from Bristol until she was decommissioned in 1981.
Bought by one owner she was topped and lengthened and then slowly renovated on a permanent mooring over 35 years until I bought her in 2014.
I have continuous cruised with her around London for four years and over this time adapted her to handle long periods of self-sufficient off grid living.
One of her main features is a 3-cylin... read more

Tyrley was made in 2001 by Phil Jones from 10.6 steel. One of only a handful he built, she is an exacting replica of the 1935 Northwich Tug Sculptor. Measurements were taken from Lacerta and the accuracy extends below the waterline with a double curved swim, Tyrley can reverse beautifully.
Recently out of the water, Tyrley has an excellent survey and re-blacked in International two-pack epoxy, she has never had any bitumen on her. Topsides recently re-painted.
Tyrley has a two cylinder 18hp National 2DM engine, parsons gearbox & reversing box; powerful, mu... read more

Boatshed London are delighted to offer this 1986 60ft Narrowboat Tug for sale.
Recently surveyed in October 2019, this traditional boat should appeal to the buyer who's looking for a boat with plenty of character. Tugs have a cult following and this one should be no different with the beating heart of this boat being the Beta engine which has been recently overhauled. The boatman's cabin at the stern has a large Epping stove and convertible double berth.
The galley and living area lead through to the cabin under the tug foredeck so headroom is reduced above the bed. There is plenty of s... read more

No expense has been spared in the building of Columbus as can be seen by the on board electrics which include a 5kW inverter/charger powered by a 24V Lithium-ion battery bank, these batteries have many advantages, they charge in a fraction of the time of their lead acid counterparts, can be discharged safely to a much lower level and have a much longer life expectancy. She was built in 2015 and was voted Favourite Boat of the Show at Crick in the same year, and since that time has been blacked every year. Columbus has enjoyed a very easy life with only 228 engine running hours on the clock at... read more

This 57ft tug style semi trad was designed for the Company’s owner but plans have changed and she is now offered for sale. She has been used as a pied a terre from time to time through the winter months. She has a very interesting external appearance. Stern cabin has recessed panels and side doors to give the working boat feel. The forward cabin has portholes, a little more tumblehome and a different handrail suggesting a hold area or perhaps an add-on to an existing working boat. Bow well deck and fore deck are 2ft longer than standard.
This boat has been designed with style, qu... read more
