Rosemary is a 44ft steel Narrowboat manufactured by East West and built by Whilton Ruby, registered in 2011. She is a class D vessel, powered by a single Barrus Shanks 4 cylinder diesel engine with direct drive, via a gearbox and shaft to the propeller.
From Stern to Bow, Rosemary has a 'Cruiser stern' with built in fuel tank to the rear along with the fuel filling point, a standard tiller and a wood topped steel guard rail. There is a plinth to port which has the combined gear and throttle lever on the outside and the header tank for the heater inside. The main engine control panel and locker with header tank for the engine cooling system are located on the forward bulkhead. Two hinged floor panels give access to the Engine Bay below which contains the main engine, starter and domestic batteries, the Webasto diesel fired water heater, the weed hatch and the fuel shut-off cocks. A single door, sliding hatch and steps, to starboard, give access to the interior.
Immediately you enter the interior you are in the main berth which is fully fitted. To the port side of the entrance steps is the 12v switch panel and battery master switches. Just forward of these is the main electrical locker which contains the 240v consumer unit and a Pheonix Victron 1kw inverter/charger. There are lockers fore and aft and a double bunk to port. The waste tank and calorifier are situated beneath the bunk. A single door to starboard leads from the main berth to a short corridor off which is the WC.
The WC is fully fitted and is equipped with a cupboard with hand wash basin, and electrical toilet, a vanity unit and shower.
A further single door, at the forward end of the corridor, leads to the forward cabin which is 'open-plan' and contains a galley area towards the rear, a dinette in the middle and the main saloon forward. All of the interior is fully fitted and the galley has granite worktops, a Country Leisure gas hob, a Thetford Midi Prima built-in oven and grill and standard fridge with freezer top. The dinette has a removable table, seating for 4 and will convert to a double berth if required. The saloon has an 'L' shaped settee to port, an entertainment unit to starboard and, once again the seating converts to a double berth. A single step and two glazed doors lead from the interior to the forward cockpit exterior. The cockpit has a collapsible seat on either side, which is also fully removable if required. The bow locker is utilised as the gas locker which correctly secures two 13kg propane bottles against movement.
All of the interior is lined with bamboo panelling, with the exterior being finished in two-tone gloss blue.
Rosemary is BSC certified for another 2 and a half years. She has been well looked after and as such is in excellent condition. Alas it is simply time for me to start 'land-lubbing' again! An all round lovely boat that can be sold with mooring if required in the Cambs area.
Service logs and operation manuals included as standard.
