Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Chimera, a tug in full working order that is now available on a residential mooring. She can be lived on as is and used to cruise, or if you require more living space you could clear the engine room to create a more spacious static home. She has been extremely well maintained and has been still working up until very recently.
Chimera has plenty of character, and is mechanically in excellent condition. The galley is fitted with oven, microwave and fridge/freezer and has plenty of storage and seating. There are three single bunks with storage in three separate cabins, together with further storage areas. The well equipped wheelhouse offers panoramic views whether moored or cruising, and equipment includes Decca 2000 Navistar, Raethon 24 mile radar, depth sounder, Robertson autopilot, 2 vhf and Onwa 12" radar and plotter. There is alsoa good amount of usable outside deck space.
The 400 hp BW Alpha engine offers plenty of power if kept as a cruising home, and she has a maximum speed of 8 knots. She is currently licenced as Cat D.This charming tug could be a wonderful and characterful home, whether used as a cruising boat or completely renovated as a static home. There is a secure residential mooring available for her in a small, family run marina on the river Medway at Hoo, Kent.
