Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Poundland, an extremely creative and well thought out conversion of a small rive barge that offers a surprising amount of space whilst keeping ongoing fees low.
Poundland was created by the owner to maximise living space on a smaller barge, and it's quirky yet contemporary design has certainly achieved this.
Entering across the external decked area and through double doors, the quirky layout and amazing space strikes immediately. There is a walkway to one side that leads to a mezzanine sleeping area above the kitchen, which can accommodate a double berth. There is also a single berth underneath the entry mezzanine area.
Steps lead down to the main living area which is light, airy and spacious. There is incredible headroom, and even a domed skylight to add further light. Towards the back of this area is the kitchen, with ample work surface and storage.
Past the kitchen is a hallway with space for a washing machine, and the shower room and toilet. Along from this is a good sized double bedroom with storage and even a hidden sunken bath.
Externally, as well as the decked area at the front, there is the option to create a roof terrace if desired. Poundland was over plated up to the waterline with 6mm steel in 2022, and was also painted.
Poundland offers amazing space for her size, a quirky lay out, and is very much an affordable home both to buy and with regards to ongoing costs.
