Description

There is spacious open plan accommodation, aided by a pop up central section, giving generous internal space for a yacht of this size. It has built-in solid foam buoyancy. The internal soft furnishings are of very good quality. A 500kg water ballast system allows for good sailing ability but keeps the trailing weight low, making it easily towed behind most family saloons. A versatile boat equally at home on the sea or inland waterways such as the Broads and Lakes. The trailer is in need of a new break system, possibly new tyres and the original outboard may need some work or replacement. Kept in Rye on hard standing.

Accommodation

For a 26' yacht it has roomy accommodation. There are 5 bunks. Two adults and two children have stayed overnight. There is a large double berth under the cockpit and a substantial V berth. A port side berth complete the sleeping accommodation. Good quality fabric has been used for the bunks. The cockpit seats 4 comfortably.

Construction

Fibre Reinforce Plastic hull. Lifting keel, water ballast, built in solid foam buoyancy.
The rudder is "kick-up" so it can be lifted easily. The draft with keel down is 2m, with keel and rudder up only 2'.
The trailer requires a new brake system and possibly new tyres.
A copy of a survey report conducted in 2017 is available.

Engine(s)

Mariner 8, two stroke outboard with connection to cockpit throttle. The engine is the original supplied when the boat was new. The outboard may be ion need of repair or replacement.

Sails & Spars

The rig is a fractional sloop rig with aluminium excursion mast, which is, deck stepped and supported at its base by cast aluminium mast pad. There is a main sail and furling genoa.
