Hull - Firebrand was built by Roger Wilkinson of Kittiwake Boats, Macclesfield in 1989/90. She was professionally rebuilt for the Antiques Road Show silver expert, Brand Ingles, by Roger in 1995, when he added two built in buoyancy tanks beneath the side benches in addition to the original aft buoyancy chamber. Lady is an Honnor Marine Devon Scaffie built in 2005. The Scaffie is a cruising dinghy designed for single handed sailing or family cruising. This pretty and practical little dinghy is in amazing condition - the previous owner has really cared for it and it obviously hasn’t had a lot of use . Very similar to the classic Landamore dinghies in design. It rows beautifully with up to three adults and is stable and easily driven. High quality, very pretty, one off, built by Kittiwake in Macclesfield for a lady who lived in Suffolk.
I was told it was made circa 2011 for approximately £8,000, but I have no evidence.
The boat has lived inside for the last eight years. The time that I have owned it.
