Cockpit:
Constructed in GRP with moulded-in non-slip surface. Full self draining through scuppers. Access to the engine/s is through a hinged lid/s. Steps forward to side decks with stowage within. Opening transom door for access onto aft bathing platform. Stainless steel rails on coamings. Low level cockpit lighting. Option of folding seats to provide extra seating in cockpit.
Wheelhouse: Enclosed lockable wheelhouse with raised dinette to port (converts into berth) with storage under. Galley to starboard with 2-burner gas stove and grill, 12v refrigerator, stainless steel sink, pressurised hot and cold taps provided by a calorifier in the engine room, storage cupboards, fire extinguisher in stowage, holly stripe sole, companionway steps and forward cabin, steps forward for access to forward cabin and heads, access trap in sole to water tank (capacity 30gallons, 135 litres) water pump and other services.
Helm position: To starboard of wheelhouse ahead of galley. Helmsman’s seat tilts to give extra space. Steering console with stainless steel wheel, engine controls and custom switch panel. Raymarine Ray55e DSC VHF radio. Raymarine C80 8.4” flush mounted colour GPS chartplotter / echosounder (upgradeable to include Radar). Fitted steering compass. Engine and other instrumentation include; engine tachometer/s, Helm indicator, Fuel gauge/s, Engine hour meter/s, Horn.
Toilet: Enclosed compartment to starboard with manual marine WC, sink, pressurised hot and cold taps, pressurised hot and cold shower with automatic drain pump, cupboard under sink, mirror, glass and toilet roll holder, opening porthole. Cabin table and double berth conversion stowage.
Quarter berth: Access through an opening opposite toilet compartment under dinette, stowage under. Option of a hanging locker and vanity unit in lieu.
Forward cabin: Settee / berth upholstered in ‘V’ formation with stowage under and shelves behind. Upholstered backrest. GRP table with stainless steel leg that lowers to infill becoming a double berth with cushion insert. Holly stripe flooring.
Electrical: 2x heavy duty 12 volt batteries fitted with isolator/changeover switch (an additional battery is supplied with a twin engine installation). Electrical power is distributed via the switch panel with 12v socket mounted on the console. Navigation lights, windscreen wipers, cabin lights and optional instruments are controlled from this panel. 2 automatic bilge pumps are fitted, one in the engine bay and one midships. Trim tabs. Electric anchor windlass including anchor, chain and warp with dual controls. Cabin and wheelhouse lighting.
Construction:
Hull, deck and ancillary mouldings are constructed in heavy duty hand lay-up GRP. The outer layer of the hull is laid up with Isophthalic resin. Subsequent layers are reinforced with chopped strand mat and woven rovings used in combination, the thickness increasing in critical vulnerable areas. Above the waterline stiffening is provided by a full length foam core panel and below the waterline by bonded-in bulkheads and longitudinal stringers. Additional stiffening is provided by a glassed-in module in the cabin. The one-piece deck moulding is a sandwich type construction using foam core in the walking areas with stress areas, such as cleat positions, reinforced with plywood infill. Bulkheads are glassed in and the entire deck is both bonded and mechanically fastened to the hull.
Engine:
Several engine options are available. All versions include sound deadening in the engine compartment which has hinged lid/s with gas strut/s for easy access. The engine compartment is provided with an automatic fire extinguisher and separate sump/s under the engine/s to prevent contamination of bilges, plus access to the aft bilge and automatic bilge pump. Single engine versions are fitted with a single fuel tank in stainless steel, approx 80 gallons (365 litres) capacity with in-line pre-filters and electric fuel contents gauge. Twin engine versions are fitted with twin 50 gallons tanks, total capacity 100 gallons (454 litres) with separate filtration and contents gauges. A link system is provided so that the tanks can be interconnected for emergency use.
